HANDS-ON & LIVE SURGERY COURSE for ENT- and NEURO-SURGEONS


Endoscopic trans-nasal skull base surgery has become the treatment of choice for many different skull base pathologies.
However, mastering this surgery requires specific technical abilities and knowledge of anatomy and of the different skull base pathologies.
This course aims to provide the essentials of endoscopic transnasal skull base surgery, both from a clinical and a technical point of view, for ENT- and Neuro-surgeons. The tenets of clinical management, together with the details of surgical anatomy, technique, and management of complications, will be presented by experts in the field.

The course will comprise an afternoon session with a concise theoretical introduction, two full days of hands-on dissection in the anatomy laboratory (equipped with high-quality specimens and state-of-the-art instrumentation), and a live surgery session with two operating rooms. The course aims to provide a concise but thorough journey in this exciting field, showing the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, from the anatomy laboratory to the clinical, multi-specialty collaboration.
The course is for ENT- and Neuro-surgeons with a beginner/intermediate level who want to improve their knowledge and technical skills in endoscopic trans-nasal skull base surgery. The course includes an informal social dinner in Rome, with all faculty and participants, on Saturday, September 18th. All the faculty aim to share their expertise with you.
